All the staff pride themselves on our good quality, award winning Real Ales
and Homemade Food. We are recognised by CAMRA in their Good Beer Guide.
The pub has a warm cosy atmosphere helped by our real log fires in the
winter. Our sheltered beer garden is a sun trap in the summer that has
plenty of seating to drink or dine 'Alfresco'.

Formerly a "Gales"
pub, now a part of the Fullers Smith & Turner Group, Fullers have
retained the Gales Brand and several of their finest beers. Currently
we keep Butser and HSB (Horndean Special Brew). In addition we now serve
Fuller's London Pride, the UK's most popular cask bitter, and ESB (Extra
Strong Bitter).
The Coal Exchange was the winner of the Pub of the Year 2005.
